Hiii! Today is the last day of 2017. So many good times and great memories this year, along with many skincare finds. In today’s post I’m sharing some of my favorite skincare products I tried this year. I’ve used these products for more than two months and have seen good results. Definitely on my “Buy Again” list.

Fluid Oil Squalane by Olivarrier
Available via Peach & Lily

This year I tried different oils and this one is my favorite. Squalane oil is good for all skin types, especially those with oily skin. I have combination skin and this winter my main concern was dry skin. I used this as a treatment to make sure my skin was hydrated. When I introduced this product to my routine, I started adding a few drops into my moisturizer. After a week or so, I used the oil by itself for my moisturizer.

I lovee the minimal packaging. Application is easy with the dropper and I love the glass bottle.

Good Genes by Sunday Riley
Available via sephora & dermstore

I rarely buy a product that is over $100 because there are many other products to choose from and I’m still young so I can’t justify buying a La Mer cream. I did however find a Sunday Riley kit available at Sephora that includes a 0.27 oz/ 8 mL bottle of Good Genes. I think the Flash Fix Kit is a great way to test if Good Genes works without breaking the bank. The kit comes with a 1 oz/ 30 mL  Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser which isn’t bad at all.

Good Genes is a lactic acid treatment that exfoliates the skin. Unlike other exfoliators that contain micro beads in scrubs and feel more rough on the skin, Good Genes is a chemical exfoliator. Lactic acid helps break down the dead skin cells that makes the complexion dull and uneven. I use this once or twice a week and have seen amazing results: brighter skin, smoother skin and less pigmentation.

The Good Genes in this kit lasted at least a month, which gave me enough time to see results. I applied this right before my moisturizer. I have combination skin and my main concern is dryness because of the winter. Good Genes is a staple on my #beautyshelfie so take all my money, Sunday Riley!

Real Fresh Green Tea Cleansing Stick by NEOGEN
available via sokoglam

Skincare should be fun, right? This cleansing stick created by Sokoglam founder, Charlotte Cho will make cleaning your skin fun! Don’t knock it out until you try it.

Why-I-Bought-This-Reason-#2: Green tea is one of my favorite skincare ingredients. It’s a great antioxidant for your skin by protecting it from environmental factors that harm the skin. I go through random periods where my skin becomes sensitive. I react to certain products so during that time I don’t try anything new. However, anything with green tea is safe. Green tea is also anti-flammatory so it will soothe, relieve irritated skin.

This cleansing stick has 13 natural oils to remove make up. I always cleanse with an oil-based cleanser first then follow up with the cleansing stick. However, I’m sure if you were pressed on time or forgot the oil cleanser on a trip, this can remove your make up.

Why-I-Bought-This-Reason-#3: It’s TSA friendly! All my cleansers are more than 3 oz. I also do not like pouring skincare products into TSA friendly containers, so when I heard that you could bring this cleansing stick on board, I was all in.

The cleansing stick does a good job at foaming up so you get that squeaky clean feeling. It really does feel like the soap is sinking into your skin to clean out the pores. I noticed my skin looks instantly brighter after washing and patting my face dry.

Gold Black Peark Hydrogel Eye Mask by Shangpree
Available via peach & Lily

These eye masks are soo luxurious and make #SelfCareSundays a little more relaxing and glamorous. I use these in the morning if I feel more tired than usual to combat my dark circles. It really helps brighten up my dark circles and diminish the puffiness. I sometimes put them in the fridge before using for a cooling effect and depuffing effect.

The price point is a bit high but it’s worth it. These eye masks are packed with so, so much essence. I have to spend more time than usual patting the essence around the eye area. They also lasted me quite awhile so it’s worth every penny.

Tip: Put a sheet mask over the eye masks for some multitasking action!

Triple C Lightning Liquid by COSRX available via sokoglam

In this photo, I’ve tried 3 different Vitamin C products. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that brightens the skin and stimulates collagen production. I really liked the Klairs Vitamin C for my combination/sensitive skin. I think it’s a good place to start experimenting with the ingredient. I started by adding a few drops into my moisturizer so my skin could get used to it. Then after a week or two, I put it on my skin first followed by moisturizer.

If I had to pick one, it is The Triple C Lightning Liquid. It has 20.5% pure vitamin c so this stuff is really powerful. I recommend adding a few drops into your moisturizer so your skin can adjust. Vitamin C helps combat my hyperpigmentation concerns because I do have freckles. My skin looks brighter and appearers so much smoother since I’ve added this ingredient into my routine.
